Hudson Chamber Opera
A fabulous production of “The Face on the Barroom Floor” by Henry Mollicone and an old time saloon cabaret will take place on Memorial Day Weekend at Basilica Industria, 110 South Front Street, Hudson:

PS21 opens under a tent
July 2nd is the date. Please mark your calendars.

After 6 years of planning, the PS/21 (Performances Spaces for the 21st Century) project launches its first Tent Season on Sunday, July 2, with Kelley Love’s Pandemonia Orchestra and singer Nina Fine (courtesy of Gwen Gould Ensembles) in a performance of swinging sound and song. Members will be invited to a special preview party on Sunday, June 25th. To receive membership info, contact ps21@taconic.net.  For program information and schedule check the website www.ps21chatham.org (it may be stilll under construction, but soon to be up and running). The tent is located a mile north of Chatham Village on Route 66.

    August 7 – Bach Cantatas #4 “Christ lag” and #140 “Wachet auf”
    August 14 – Brahms Requiem

Bring your voice and join other choral enthusiasts in singing these masterworks of Faure, Bach and Brahms. The evening begins with a vocal warmup by Mary Hack and a brief rehearsal of difficult sections led by Ms. Gould.  Ms Hack will also help with vocal techniques to execute vocally challenging excerpts.  Sections will have the opportunity to sing the most popular solos as part of the rehearsal.  After the break, the work will be performed in its entirety with professional soloists from Hudson Chamber Opera.
