Diamond Opera Theater (2004-2007)
(aka Hudson Opera Theater (HOT) and Hudson Chamber Opera)
Co-founded in 2004 by Gwen Gould and Charles Kondek with committee members Mary Gail Biebel, Mary Hack, and Alaina Warren Zachary as Hudson Opera Theater (HOT), it was a dedicated ensemble of gifted artists – singers, musicians, actors, composers, writers, directors, designers, choreographers, stage technicians, artisans – whose sole purpose is the production of exciting and entertaining works for the lyric stage.
Performances under the founding artistic leadership (2004-2007) took place in various venues including The Hudson Opera House, Basilica Industria, and Christ Church Episcopal, all in the heart of the bustling, newly revitalized city of Hudson, NY, the first chartered city in the United States (1785).
