Amy Lynn Grable, lyric coloratura soprano, will appear in Verdi’s Requiem at a West Village Chorale Summer Sing conducted by Gwen Gould on July 14, 2008, at the Church of St. Luke in the Fields, NYC. Ms. Grable’s voice has been described as “clear-voiced” by the New York Sun. Cape Code Times praises “Amy Lynn Grable was delectable as the pretty, vivacious Valencienne. She moved, acted, and danced with insouciance and grace.” The Kansas City Star hailed Ms. Grable was “exceptional as Zerlina, which she sang with luscious clarity.” Her opera credits include performances with Dicapo Opera Theatre, Opera New England of Cape Cod, Opera New Hampshire, Chatham Opera, Opera Omaha, Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Des Moines Metro Opera, Inspiration Point Opera in the Ozarks, Civic Opera of Kansas City and the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory. Solo work includes performing with the Omaha Symphony, Kansas City Symphony, and St. Joseph Symphony.

In addition to winning the Grand Prize National Federation of Music Clubs Young Artist Award, Ms. Grable was the Alpha Corrine Mayfield Opera Performance Winner, Heinz Rehfuss Orlando Opera Singing Actor Competition Finalist, Metropolitan Opera National Council Opera Auditions Regional Midwest Winner, Sigma Alpha Iota National Scholarship Winner, and Inspiration Point Opera in the Ozarks Award Winner. Ms. Grable received her MM in Vocal Music Performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music, as well as, completing an apprenticeship with the Lyric Opera of Kansas City. Ms. Grable has had the pleasure of working with voice teachers Bill Schuman, Inci Bashar, and coaching with Nico Castel.
